The tunnel was opened end of June to the public. TBT has done the design and built for the wall fire protection and architectural cladding.
We have modified the usual use of the Glasal T / Promatect H Panels, to a system with 10 mm shadow joints in between the Glasal T panels but tight joints for the fire protection panels with an additional backing strip. The joints are alternating and it gives a much better aesthetic result.
We have installed approx. 14.000 sqm of panels in front of the walls according to RWS fire curve over 120 mm with maximum concrete temperature of 380°C.
